Wall of Shame

Congratulations! You have found my wall of shame. Chances are you’re here because you are on it.

Let me explain why the Wall of Shame exists. For years, and I mean years, I have made a very polite request on my contact page that I only get contacted for consulting requests, collaboration requests, or media/press requests (for those of you who are bloggers and consider your pitches “media requests,” media/press requests actually means featuring me in a newspaper/magazine article or in a TV segment or radio show). I also make it very clear in multiple places that I do not accept guest post pitches, infographic pitches, or story pitches.

See, the thing is, I really meant it. But countless idiots who prefer to hit quality numbers of content send irrelevant and completely unsolicited pitches without reading.

So it’s my turn to pay homage to the people who have riled me up so much that they belong on my wall of shame. Please don’t do business with them. They are not worth your time–just worth enough of mine to be placed on this website.

your site I think we’d be a good match for each other.

We would like to create high-quality and unique content for your

the (very brief) About the Author section at the end of the article.
We will also provide High-quality images with each article as well.

We are writing for many high performing websites. If you’re interested
or have any questions, please let me know. If not, thank you for
taking the time to read this all the same.

Helen Cartwright [email protected]

My name is Helen Cartwright, I write for helencartwright.com and as a
ghostwriter featured on publications such as The Huffington Post and
Entrepreneur.com.

I’m writing because I wanted to talk to you about contributing to
techipedia.com. Over several years I’ve written content that spans a
broad range of industries mostly focused on the business and marketing
aspect of various subjects.

Topics I have covered include Digital Marketing, Investments, Mergers
& Acquisitions, Real Estate, Politics and my personal favorite –
wellbeing focused on the environment, health and family.

I am trying to get my name out there and by publishing on your site
you get some great free content and I build my branded portfolio. The
article that I provide will be written for you and echo some of the
things you’ve said in the past, but also elaborate a little bit by
providing additional research and insight. I’m pretty sure your
readers will appreciate what I have to say, and my audience will visit
your site as well.

I know you’re busy, so I can write everything up and send it to you
in one document which you can drop right into your system – I’ll
handle all editing, bylines, etc (feel free to edit) so this is
super-easy for you. Plus, I promise the guest posts will get your
readers thinking and talking to each other. On top of that, I would
promote the article on my site and through my social profiles, so
you’d get additional traffic.

Does this sound like something you’d be interested in? If so, let me
know and we can talk about the next steps.

Thanks for your time.

[GUIDE] Increase Your Conversion Rate For techipedia.com

Message:
Hi there

I’m Jackie, I’m a freelance tech writer now, but started my
working life in software development after a short spell as an IT
teacher for young adults in colleges.

My freelance work is really varied and exciting and looks at many
aspects of the tech industry as a whole, as well as aspects of
marketing and small business growth. I’ve just recently completed a
short article and infographic which looks at how you can get better
conversion rates for your online business. You can take a look at it
here: https://www.onblastblog.com/increase-your-conversion-rate/

It also explains why you need to have a properly optimized site, as
well as the factors that might currently affect the number of
conversions you make and how you can improve them.

If you’d be interested in sharing a quick mention of my work on your
blog that would be really wonderful and I’d appreciate the chance to
get my work out there to a wider audience. Alternatively, I’d be
happy to write a short blurb or paragraph or two (or a longer piece –
just let me know) highlighting the key points because I think some of
your readers might get a lot of value from it.

Take care and all the best

Jackie

PS – It was via this bit of content on your site that I found you –
http://www.techipedia.com/2007/internet-marketing-best-blog-posts/ – a
little while back, whilst I was undertaking research for another
article I was writing, so I thought you might be interested in this
one. Don’t worry though I won’t hassle you again if you’re not.

Hi –

We teamed up with Salesforce UK to write an article (and create
complementary graphics) full of tips for small and medium-sized
businesses (SMEs). These tips range from finding the right staff to
using the right lightbulbs.

Since small businesses make up 60 per cent of employers, these tips
should come in handy for a majority of the businesses in the UK – and
abroad.

Please let me know if you’re interested in seeing the full

Megan Wilson from Ghergich.com

Hi –

We teamed up with Salesforce to write an article (and create graphics)
that covers what companies need to know when comparing help desk
software. It first clarifies the difference between help desk software
and customer service software, then discusses how to find the right
platform for your company’s needs.

There are three compelling reasons a company may need new help desk
software: remote team members, antiquated systems, and a growing, busy
company.

Please let me know if you’re interested in seeing the full article
and its graphics. I’d be happy to forward it to you.

Note: A “Hi” without bothering to mention my name is not due diligence, Megan and Ghergich.

Bradley at disasterweb.com

Hello!

While the warmer spring and summer months give us sunshine and
blooming gardens to look forward to, they also bring the risk of many
different types of natural disasters
(http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/life/graphics/natural_disasters/flash.htm).
As a resident of the SoCal region I’ve seen first-hand the
extraordinary damage these kinds of catastrophes can bring, especially
for those who aren’t prepared.

Whether your area’s greatest threat is hurricanes, tornadoes,
wildfires, or mudslides, there are ways to prepare your family and
home. I created DisasterWeb.net (http://disasterweb.net/) in an effort
to help communities reduce the devastation following a natural
disaster. Safety plans are crucial for keeping families, businesses,
and organizations secure during an emergency and to help them recover
afterward.

Would you grant me the privilege of writing a research-driven guest
article on this topic for techipedia.com? It would be unique to your
site and free of charge. To give you an idea of the kind of article
I’d like to offer, here are a few sample topics. I’d be happy to
write one of these (or something similar) for your site:

5 Tips for Making Your Home or Business Emergency-ready
How to Protect Your Home and Family When Disaster Strikes
How to Bounce Back Financially, Physically, and Emotionally When the
Skies Clear
5 Mistakes to Avoid When Prepping Your Home and Family for a Natural
Disaster

Let’s head into spring and summer as prepared as possible!

My biggest question: when do I cover anything remotely close to disasters?!
